London Playback Theatre Company creates spontaneous, improvised theatre through a unique collaboration between performers and audience. We encourage people to share their real life stories and through the magic of theatre we bring those stories to life. Our tailor-made performances enliven events from conferences and training programmes to family and community celebrations that people will talk about with delight for years to come. Read more about what we offer… Come to our next public performance in any of the following months! Each performance is dedicated to a different theme concerning us as humans. For details of the shows go to our What’s on section. We look forward meeting you, listening to you and creating theatre as a response to your stories.

LONDON PLAYBACK THEATRE returns to Essex Church with her SECOND public performance in 2018! Venue: Essex Church 112 Palace Gardens Terrace, Kensington, London W8 4RT

This evening we invite stories on the theme of GRACE.

Its not such an often-used word now as it was 200 years ago…

So what does GRACE mean to you?

How have you experienced GRACE in your life?

The dictionary says

‘elegance of movement’   ’courteous good will’   ’a divinely given talent or blessing’

‘the free and unmerited favour of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings’

We have heard the saying “there but for the grace of God go I…” to acknowledge one’s good fortune in avoiding another’s mistake or misfortune.

And something done ‘with good grace, or bad grace’ to mean something done in a willing and happy as opposed to resentful or reluctant manner.

So as you read this what is coming up for you in your experience of ‘grace’….?

We look forward to you joining us for a surprising and soul-satisfying evening of Playback Theatre.

And do stay for refreshments afterwards for more conversation and convivial sharing on this rich topic.
